Customer Reviews

Terrible ! (2009-07-01)
I've never written a review on an item before but am compelled to on this because of how awful it is. The only pro of this is the static free transmission. My unit is only 9 months old, and it started to turn off, on its own, in the middle of the night, WHEN PLUGGED IN...what the heck??? also, if you are not plugged in, and your charge (batteries) are low..no warning sound, it just stops working.
Also, the child unit blinks (brightly) when the parent unit is off..big distraction for baby! another flaw is that if you lose power in your home (like we do, a few times a month) the child unit does not turn back on when power is restored, like my old graco base unit did. very inconvenient!
stick with the old school monitors..much more reliable..who cares that this crappy one looks sleek like an iPod??!!

DO NOT BUY! Cuts Out When You Most Need It! (2009-06-29)
This is the first time I have felt strongly enough about a product to write a review for it. I find this to be a risk - if your child cries loudly, this loses its signal and shuts off. So, when your baby actually needs you to hear him/her, you can't! Ridiculous.

My husband is trying to convince me to sell it on Craigslist and get a different one from Amazon. But frankly, I can't bring myself to even give it away! I'm going to destroy it and trash it.

Beep is too loud (2009-06-27)
I did not like this product. First, if the loses contact it emits a very load beep, about the same sound level as a smoke detector. I put this up to my ear to hear the baby and the beep almost ripped my ear off.
Second, the interface is too confusing , they try to do the Ipod thing with one button but I needed instructions to figure it out.

HOME INTERCOM (2009-06-27)
I found the sound level to be much too low to be effective. Because of this I was disappointed in the product

Great (2009-06-25)
This is the third I bought in 3 weeks and is the best... wish I bought this one first!!!
When my daughter was first born we had a 1st and it worked great... but after a lot of abuse from my daughter it finally broke!!! So I thought the more expensive the better and boy was I wrong. I tried two other brands (Graco and Avent) before going back to 1st... would have saved me a lot of time and money had I just bought this one first!!
This picks up every little sound, I can even hear my daughter breath and is PLENTY loud enough. I have no problems with the volume at all so I am not sure what some other reviewers mean when they say they wish it was louder, it is plenty loud. It gives no feedback at all. If you are looking for a go get this one now!!!
